IMPORTANT updates to our School Management and Administration of Medication Policy, which will be enforced from Term 3, 24 July 2025. These changes are designed to enhance student safety and ensure we comply with current health regulations. We understand that managing your child’s health needs is a top priority, and we are committed to working closely with families to ensure a safe and supportive environment. The updated Medication Policy can be found on our school website or obtained from the school office. Key Changes to the Policy Include: 1. Parents and carers will now be required to provide all prescription and
non-prescription medication (including vitamins and laxatives, etc) in a Webster or Single-dose Pack. 2. The only exception to this is that short-term antibiotics (prescriptions for 14 days or less) may be supplied in their original packaging with an intact pharmacy label, along with a completed Medication Authorisation Form (Prescription Medication). 3. All prescribed and non-prescribed medication must be accompanied by the relevant Medication Authorisation Form. 4. The School will now stock and supply paracetamol, ibuprofen and
non-drowsy antihistamines, and will provide details of any other non-prescribed medications that become available. You do not need to supply these medications for occasional use; however, please ensure your child’s profile is updated on Consent2Go to give permission for administering these medications. If your child may be allergic or intolerant to any school-supplied medication, please contact the School to discuss alternative arrangements. 5. All Schedule 8 restricted medication must be delivered to the school office by a parent or carer. 6. All other medications should be delivered to the school by a parent or carer. 7. Medication for camps and excursions must be provided to the School at least three (3) days before the activity. Failure to provide medication within the required timeframe may result in your child being unable to attend the activity. If your child needs to take ongoing, daily medication during school hours, please speak with the school in advance to ensure the correct procedure is followed.
