The building begins…There is quite a buzz at Northern this week as the preparation for our new building begins. It is such an exciting time for us all! Contractors have been busily planning, Mr Whittle has been ordering new furniture for the new Kinder classroom, and interior colour schemes have been finalised. Staff are estimating how many boulders, and the size of these, will be unearthed when they start digging up the ground. Mr Lacey entertains us with stories of when Northern moved to Cobbs Hill Road from Berriedale, and our students are repeatedly asking, “When will the building be finished?” It is such a joy that our building project has started! As I reflected and thanked God for the gift of new buildings, I was drawn to this verse from James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
As you watch the buildings progress over the next few months, I encourage you to pause and thank God for his provisions of these new buildings. Also, please pray that we will be wise stewards in our use of these buildings. These additions will provide us with a much-needed space for our school community to meet together comfortably, and a state-of-the-art Kinder area, while allowing us to be creative with the vacated learning spaces. As we head into the holidays, I hope and pray that you will have a refreshing time with your family. I encourage our school community to pause and thank God for the good and perfect gifts that He has given you, and may you continue to be reminded of the perfect gift of Jesus.
